Pools

Lap pool

  • Length: 25 meters
  • 6 lanes
  • Depth: 135–180 cm
  • Temperature: 27°C
  • The fitness pool is separated from the teaching pool by a glass wall, preventing noise from the teaching pool and water slide from carrying over
  • Option for virtual exercise sessions
  • An Aquaglide water adventure course is set up in the fitness pool at separately announced times (the course takes up half the pool, leaving three lanes available for swimming)

Multi-purpose pool

  • The depth can be adjusted between 0 and 3.6 meters (displays at the pool edges indicate the current depth).
  • Temperature: 32°C.
  • The pool features a 3-meter diving platform and a 1-meter springboard (these are out of use if the pool depth has been lowered, e.g., for an aquatic exercise class).
  • The pool can also be used for water aerobics or baby swimming.

 

Children's pool / teaching pool

  • Depth 60–90 cm
  • Temperature 30 °C

Water running pool

  • Length: 23 meters
  • Depth: 160 cm
  • Temperature: 30°C
  • The pool is equipped with a counter-current unit that can be activated upon request.
  • Water running belts are available for free use at the poolside.

Jacuzzi

  • The pool features two neck jets, three hydro-massage stations, and a hydro-massage bench.
  • Depth: 130 cm
  • Temperature: 34–35°C

 

Cold plunge pool

  • A plunge pool for one person at a time
  • Depth: 110 cm
  • Temperature: 8°C
  • An experience shower is located next to the cold plunge pool.

Cold and hot plunge pools

  • You can walk from cold to hot water in the pool.
  • Depth: 20 cm
  • Temperature: 8°C on the cold side and 34–35°C on the warm side.

Paddling pool

  • Shallow pool for the youngest family members, featuring a small slide and water play activities
  • Depth: 0–30 cm
  • Temperature: 30°C

Water slide

  • Length: 45 meters
  • The slide ends in its own splash pool
  • Riders can choose a theme that suits their preference (eight different options featuring theme-specific lighting and interactive elements)
  • The youngest family members can ride sitting in front of an adult (at their own risk)

OTHER NOTABLE INFORMATION

  • Stunning animations can be projected onto the ceiling of the main pool area, accompanied by soft background audio. Currently, the animations are projected daily between 4:00 PM and 8:30 PM, during which time the lighting is also dimmed.
  • The lighting in the pool area can be adjusted from bright to atmospherically dim.
  • A glass wall separates the lap pool from the other pools. This ensures a quiet atmosphere, even when an entire school class is having a swimming lesson in the teaching pool.
  • There is a heated bench in the pool area, near the café-restaurant.
  • There are tables and chairs for dining in connection with the café-restaurant.
  • The Aquaglide water obstacle course is set up in the lap pool at times to be announced separately.

saunas

Standard saunas

  • Two saunas in both the women’s and men’s washing areas
  • Swimwear is not permitted in the saunas
  • Please bring your own sauna towel/seat cover or purchase a disposable one at the Louhi reception desk

Disabled sauna

  • One sauna located in one of the changing rooms for people with reduced mobility (Changing Room 1 for people with reduced mobility).
  • A unique feature: heat is activated by the push of a button and extends all the way to floor level, meaning there is no need to lift a wheelchair (or similar device) up, and an assistant is not necessarily required.

Panoramic sauna

  • Located on the second floor; access is via the corner of the lap pool
  • Visual connection from the sauna to the pool area
  • Swimwear is required in the sauna, as it is a mixed-gender facility
  • Please note that private events may restrict access to the sauna

Salt sauna

  • Located in the pool area
  • The salt sauna is the mildest type of sauna
  • Breathing in the salty air has a beneficial effect on the respiratory system
  • Swimwear is worn in the sauna, and it is a mixed-gender facility

Steam sauna

  • Located in the pool area
  • The heat from the steam promotes blood circulation and alleviates muscle tension and pain associated with poor circulation
  • Swimwear is required, and the sauna is mixed-gender

Changing rooms

 

Louhi has separate changing rooms for women and men.

Louhi also features two changing rooms designed for people with reduced mobility.

Additionally, the second floor houses private changing and washing areas intended primarily for non-binary individuals and for families where an adult and a child are of different genders but cannot be accommodated in separate changing rooms. The area includes lockable changing cubicles (5) and lockable showers (3). Swimwear must be worn in the panoramic sauna. Please note that private events may restrict access to the facilities.

Showers

 

Each changing room is equipped with plenty of showers.

The pool area also features two experience showers where you can choose a theme to suit your mood—ranging from tropical rain to a Caribbean storm (four different themes). The colors, sounds, and water pressure adjust to match the selected theme.

Café-restaurant

Vesimaailma Louhi features its own café-restaurant, with services accessible from both the lobby and the pool area. You can pay using your wristband, cash, or major debit and credit cards. When paying with your wristband, purchases are charged to your account upon leaving Louhi.

The café-restaurant offers products such as:

  • Coffee and tea
  • Assorted soft drinks
  • Savory and sweet pastries
  • Snack bars and confectionery
  • Meals from the menu (e.g., hamburger meal, chicken basket, or sausage and fries)

At the café-restaurant, you will also find a wide selection of swimming accessories and swimwear.

Meeting and event space

Located on the second floor of Vesimaailma Louhi is a meeting room available for booking for meetings or other events (such as birthday parties) during Louhi’s opening hours.

The room features a conference table seating 16 people, modern meeting technology (including Wi-Fi), and a kitchenette area. It also offers a view of the pool area.

You can rent the meeting room alone or combine it with the adjacent shower and sauna facilities. You can also book pool access for your group. Catering can be ordered from Vesimaailma Louhi or arranged independently.
